Spare serial console

There is a blue spare serial console cable (with adapter) hanging in cabinet 3-5. Connect to it with tip spare on the console server. You may need to adjust the speed in the /etc/remote file first. The cable is long enough to reach a few cabinets away.

cable color coding

  • blue & white pair: trunk lines from remote switches to p1a/b, A/B drops from castle
  • white: cross connects
  • yellow: public network
  • green: private network
  • orange: serial console
  • red: special
